Dr Keaney MBBS MHA is the former Head of Claims and Senior Advisor to the CEO for Avant, Australia’s largest medical indemnity insurer. She has long experience managing complaints and claims on behalf of medical practitioners and from that a keen interest in safety and quality in health care. She was appointed to the Board of the National Breast Cancer Centre in 2004 and took over the role of Chair in 2006. She is a member of the Advisory Council of Cancer Australia.
