Advanced epithelial ovarian cancer

E-mail Print PDF Site Map
Advanced epithelial ovarian cancer is ovarian cancer that has spread to other areas within the pelvis or to areas and organs outside the pelvis. If epithelial ovarian cancer is advanced when first diagnosed, the cancer can grow in these areas, even if the ovaries and other affected organs have been removed.

This section provides information about what happens if ovarian cancer does come back or spread after treatment. Information is also provided about stopping treatment and end-of-life care.

If you or a family member has ovarian cancer, you may find it difficult to read some parts of this section. If you find it difficult, come back and read it later when you feel you are able.
