Loss of appetite might be caused by:

  • treatment such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy
  • constipation or bowel obstruction
  • drugs for pain or symptom relief
  • decreased physical activity
  • nausea and vomiting.
Some women feel uncomfortable eating normal-sized meals, crave certain foods or find that some foods upset them. The treatment team can provide practical suggestions to help treat loss of appetite. Find out more about diet and ovarian cancer.
