“In poor and minority communities, medically-underserved populations suffer disproportionately from cancer because they lack access to basic, quality health care. The Pink Pony Campaign reaches out to these communities and strives to make a difference.”
Ralph Lauren
The Polo Ralph Lauren Pink Pony Campaign is an international initiative which aims to address the disparities in care for women with breast cancer. It reaches many countries worldwide including the United States of America, France, the United Kingdom, Germany and Japan.
Since 2002, Polo Ralph Lauren has donated over $500 000 to the National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre. This is made possible through the sale of Pink Pony merchandise. In Australia, 25% of the sale of Pink Pony items will directly benefit programs run by National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre.
National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre administers the Australian arm of the initiative by managing two annual programs: Scholarships and Seeding Grants.
